Culture and Traditions

As a school in North Texas, much of Fellowship Academy's culture reflects the traditions that are important to people in our area. Those traditions include community get-togethers under the Friday Night Lights, Family Fun Days, revving up the atmosphere with the Loud Crowd in the gym, and many student activities that include performances and service projects.

Our biggest event in the fall is Stampede Week, which leads up to the Homecoming Football game. We keep the time-honored Texas traditions, including ordering and wearing ridiculous mums, a home game on Friday night with concessions and cheer leaders and our annual 5th Quarter after party. We wrap up the week with a Homecoming Dance for high school students.

At Christmas time, we remember the Reason for the Season with service projects, gift giving, and a presentation by our elementary students.

In the spring, we put on a Spring Musical, when our high school students showcase their talents in acting, song and dance. We also have an Elementary Field Day when our kids get outside and play.

FA is a busy place - between athletics, fine arts, STEM activities, and service projects, our kids have the opportunity to try it all! Learning and developing their God-given talents and purpose is key to our mission statement, and our school culture offers them the opportunities they need to do just that.
