Volunteer Opportunities

S.O.S. has many volunteer opportunities for parents. If you want to get plugged in and are ready to get busy, this is the place! Just look at the list below to see where you can help. We look forward to working with you!

Lunch Monitor: We need volunteers to stay in the lunchroom with kids so the teachers can eat lunch and fellowship with the other teachers. Volunteering as little as one hour per month is a great way to minister to our teachers!

Library Book Review: Brand new books are donated by publishing companies to our school each year; they must be reviewed before we can put them into the library. Bring a few books home, read, fill out review sheets and return the books to the library.

Staff Appreciation Activities: NEW THIS YEAR! We will be sponsoring Treats for Teachers, monthly luncheons for the teachers and staff. We need volunteers to periodically bring items for these luncheons. Each spring the SOS sponsors Staff Appreciation Week. We also need volunteers to plan and expedite the activities for the week. If you are interested in helping with the Staff Appreciation activities, please contact Kathy Masoner.

Box Top and Cartridges for Kids Preparation: We need volunteers to prepare the box tops to be mailed in to General Mills; these can be done from home. We also need volunteers to come into the office to prepare the cartridges and cell phones to be mailed.

Room Helper: Put your name on a list to help your student's teacher with class parties and projects.

Substitute Teacher: If you are interested in being a substitute teacher, contact the school office.
